The Sutherland Steam Mill Museum

This is a free NSLife.tv original tourism series.

After a relaxing stop at the beach we headed back to Denmark, Nova Scotia to visit the Sutherland Steam Mill Museum which preserves a time when our forebears were far more self reliant than we are nowadays.

When the mill was operational, trees would go in one end, and out the other end they would get almost everything that was needed to build and beautify a home. This even included bathtubs. Yes I said bathtubs.

See the museums website and their facebook page for more details and when in the area stop in and see this amazing place for yourself. Don’t take my word for it.

Next stop on the tour will be the Balmoral Grist Mill in Part 8 of this community TV series.

We are ready to tour your part of Nova Scotia producing tourism content just like this. Contact us to find out how to make it happen.
