Bats and Builders YWCA Fundraiser

The Bats and Builders Fundraising Ball Tournament was held at the Graves-Oakley Baseball Field located in Leiblin Park in Halifax on September 9th.

All proceeds from the tournament go to support the Supportive Housing for Young Moms program from the YWCA Halifax.

The SHYM program provides affordable housing and resources for single, young mothers (ages 16 to 24) and their children.

The program also works to transform lives by providing a continuum of services and programs that drive positive and lasting change while striving to change the underlying issues that are the root causes of inequality, violence, poverty, and homelessness.

Over $4100 raised during the event which is one of the highest amounts ever raised at the tournament. 

Unsatisfied with this uneven amount, both Blue Ridge Builders & M Smith Contracting jumped in to make the total an even $5000.
