Champion Snowboarder on Parent Chats

UPDATE: Unfortunately Tristan broke his arm on Nov 25th while training in the Yukon and will not be able to compete in the World University Games 2024.

Even thought this has been a very difficult time for the entire family, Tristan has set a goal to compete in 2027 and has already configured a training plan to increase his chances of being selected in 2027.

His focus now is returning to training this week (he was just cleared today to snowboard but not race) and then going to Junior Nationals in March.

He is going to continue fundraising over the next 2 years so hopefully we will be have him back on the show at that time.

STAY TUNED FOR FUTURE UPDATES!

19 year old Tristan Weigelin loves Snowboard Cross racing and has been at it for 11 years. Doing the math, this means he started when he was 9 years old.

This fall Tristan has focused his training because he has his sights set on competing at the FISU Winter World University Games being held in Torino, Italy in January 2025.

At age 14 Tristan was selected to join the Nova Scotia Provincial Team and during his time with them,
Tristan has achieved many significant milestones, including winning over 40 medals and being the provincial series champion in 2018, 2019 and 2022.

However, the highlight of his career came when he was selected to represent Nova Scotia at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island.

Next stop with your help is Italy.
